The further development of the well known digital thread counter CAMSCAN for warping, beaming, sizing, draw warping and similar machinery, prompted us to bring onto the market an improved system, which in addition to the present control of missing threads in the yarn sheet, or the incorrect number of threads, also has the possibility to detect and display the actual position of the missing thread in the warp sheet. Now there is also the possibility to establish the independent positional frequency of thread breaks and with its help, for example, a faulty package which is always causing the defect, can be identified at once and then be exchanged. If the pre-set fault count for one package is exceeded, then the machine can be locked and then, for example, the package be exchanged. The new digital thread counter is called CAMSCAN II and considerably supports avoidance of costly losses caused by the late or never detected faults in the warp sheet.
