SASA Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. is the world's leading producer of polyester staple fiber, filament yarns, polyester-based and specialty polymers and intermediates. The main production facility is located in Adana and is built on an area of 2.181.000 m². Compared to the date when its investments started, SASA increased its sales amount, which was 380,000 tons in 2019, to 1.180.878 tons in 2022. SASA has reached a production capacity of 1,365,000 tons per year as of 2021. SASA aims to launch its second step investment plan in the field of polyester staple fiber, textile chips and bottle chips with an investment cost of 435 Million EURO and an additional capacity of 697.000 tons/year. SASA plans to become a fully integrated polyester manufacturer that produces raw materials in-house. The PTA facility, which is SASA's main raw material, with a capacity of 1.5 million tons/year, is planned to be commissioned in the 2023/Q4.
