The Four Categories
Awards are given to sustainable Products, Production Processes, and Companies.
This category recognizes innovative materials based on bio-based, recycled or recyclable resources. The focus lies on products that conserve resources and significantly reduce environmental impact.
This category highlights solutions that contribute to a healthy indoor environment – through low-emission materials, responsible formulations and reduced-emission production methods in Interior Finishing.
Honoring companies that implement truly sustainable production: energy- and water-efficient technologies, optimized material cycles, waste reduction and transparent, resource-conscious manufacturing.
This category acknowledges companies that pursue responsible and future-oriented business practices. These include transparent supply chains, fair working conditions, sustainable sourcing strategies and initiatives that credibly anchor and continuously develop ecological and social standards.
Meet The Jury
Dominik Campanella
Dominik Campanella is co-founder of Concular—the platform for circular construction. As an expert in circular construction, he is active in various committees, such as the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the EU Leadership Group for Circular Construction.
Kai Nebel
Kai Nebel is a textile engineer, sustainability officer, head of the research focus on sustainability and recycling, and lecturer at Texoversum at Reutlingen University. He is a lecturer and guest lecturer at various universities, supports and advises companies, start-ups, and organizations, and is involved in professional continuing education. He is a board member of the Association of German Textile Experts (VDTF), a member of the examination board of the Reutlingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and a sustainability expert for the press, TV, and radio.
Martin Auerbach
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, lawyer Martin Auerbach studied law and ini-tially worked as a legal advisor for a housing construction company before joining the Associa-tion of the German Home Textiles Industry in 2003, where he became managing director in 2009. Through cooperation with the Association of Interior Privacy & Sun Shades (since 2013) and the Association of the Mattress Industry (since 2019), he also manages the business there. In the Textile+Sun Protection Competence Centre, he brings together the networks of the three industry associations and has also integrated the ReNewTex SME network. In addition to his legal experience, he has in-depth knowledge of sustainability and the circular economy, which he promotes in a practical manner through knowledge transfer and a real-world laboratory he initiated. He has an excellent network and is in regular contact with ministries and authorities at federal and state level.
