Lavesstiftung (Laves Foundation) honors students with the prestigious "Lavespreis"
In 2024, the Lavesstiftung, based in Lower Saxony, will once again pay a visit to the world's leading trade fair for carpets and floor coverings to honor students from the field of architecture with the renowned Lavespreis.
The Lavesstiftung brought the Lavespreis award to life as an opportunity to encourage a dialog with students, teachers and the local community as well as to raise awareness for the spectrum of tasks performed by those working in the field of architecture. After all, the professional activities of architects, landscapers, interior designers and urban planners are about much more than just design. After all, high-quality implementations as well as the quality of the design itself are the result of the interplay between society and community, contextual aspects such as sustainability, choice of material and engineering.
The Lavespreis 2023, endowed with EUR 5,000, will be awarded to students studying architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban planning at universities and colleges in Lower Saxony, Germany.
Due to the relevance and future significance of the topic, this year's prize will honor projects that are dedicated to the holistic and complex quality of the design and pay particular attention to sustainability. This include entries covering the field of building construction, urban planning, open space design, interior design or furniture construction.
