Weitzer ReParkett
Weitzer ReParkett is solid wood that has been in use for decades—often even centuries. Instead of consuming new resources, we give historic parquet flooring a second life. The result: the first CO₂-negative parquet flooring with a truly circular economy.
The Characteristics
ReParkett is a 100% reuse product. It is a solid parquet strip made exclusively from hardwood, which, after undergoing the urban mining cycle and mechanical processing, is returned to its original purpose—as a durable wood flooring. Weitzer ReParkett saves solid parquet from disposal and, after processing, returns it to the value cycle. It is a natural product that contains neither glue nor other synthetic materials. It can be reused either raw or with a naturally oiled surface and transferred to the next life cycle. ReParkett can also be sanded/renovated several times on site after installation and can therefore be used for decades to come. It is also suitable for underfloor heating. This is because nothing is newly produced here; instead, materials are preserved, refined, and reused. Old solid parquet, often decades or even centuries old, is “harvested” from construction sites and lovingly processed at our factory in Weiz. The characterful patina is preserved – and given a new, perfect surface. The result? A unique floor that stores more CO₂ than it releases. This makes ReParkett the first recyclable solid parquet floor with a negative CO₂ balance – and a real contribution to climate protection.
Weitzer ReParkett has been awarded the TÜV Proficert certificate. TÜV Proficert stands for the most stringent emission tests.
Please find enclosed our internal compliance guidelines and our Supplier Code of Conduct. In addition, we prefer to use FSC-certified suppliers for wood as a raw material. The FSC also checks compliance with human and labor rights issues in the supply chain very closely.
In Austria, we exclusively use renewable energy sources for electricity and heat:
Energy recovery from our production residues for heat Electricity from our own biomass power plant (combined heat and power)
Energy efficiency measures in production (e.g., lighting control, use of waste heat from compressed air)
Compressors: In cooperation with the company materialnomaden, we “harvest” old solid parquet flooring in the spirit of urban mining—we accept old products and turn them into Weitzer ReParkett.
