The next generation of installation systems Välinge’s 5G NXT® represents the next generation of installation systems designed to further reduce the environmental impact of wood and wood-based flooring products. With a more sustainable insert, made from biomass-balanced materials and an easy dismantling process that allows flooring to be removed, reused and reinstalled elsewhere, 5G NXT® helps manufacturers and retailers meet the growing demand for more sustainable and circular flooring solutions. Designed for reuse 5G NXT® allows flooring to be removed and reinstalled just as easily as it is installed. Individual panels can be dismantled piece by piece, without taking up an entire row. This enables simple correction of mistakes during installation and, crucially, allows floors to be relocated or reused with minimal risk of damage, helping reduce material waste and extend product life. Long-lasting results With the same trusted locking strength as Välinge’s market-leading 5G® technology, 5G NXT® ensures durable, long-lasting connections that prevent gaps, squeaking and height differences. This delivers a solid, flawless floor that continues to perform year after year – supporting longevity as a core sustainability principle. Enabling circular flooring solutions By combining renewable materials, dismantling and reuse capability, and long-term performance, 5G NXT® supports the design of new products with lower environmental impact, greater material efficiency and improved circularity.
Reduced use of fossil-based resources The innovative 5G NXT® insert is produced using a biomass-balanced material, in which part of the fossil feedstock is replaced with renewable raw materials through a certified mass-balance process. This approach reduces the use of fossil-based resources, and according to supplier data, the material itself has a carbon footprint more than 75% lower than conventional fossil-based plastic. By choosing this material, Välinge decreases dependence on fossil resources while maintaining the same performance, strength and installation efficiency as its traditional 5G® Fold Down technology – delivering a more sustainable component option without compromising reliability or longevity of wood and wood-based flooring installations.
