Bjelin hardened wood flooring, featuring Woodura® and 5G Dry®
What is it? Bjelin’s hardened wood flooring is a game-changer. Patented technology, developed in-house by sister company Välinge Innovation, ensures these 100% real wood floors are three times stronger than traditional wood floors while only a tenth of the wood is needed. The combination of the surface technology Woodura®, the moisture-resistant Välinge wood core, and the leakproof 5G Dry® floor locking system ensures these exceptionally durable wood floors last for generations.

This more sustainable wood flooring not only preserves trees in the forest but also offers exceptional durability for a long-lasting experience, suitable for both residential and commercial environments. Due to the floor locking, the panels can also be uninstalled and moved elsewhere with ease, further prolonging their life.
The Characteristics
Resource efficiency and responsibility: The wood for these floors is sourced from responsibly managed, FSC-certified forests in Croatia, putting forests and people first. By slicing instead of cutting the wood, only a tenth of the wood is required, and all waste is recycled into wood powder that's used in the Woodura® process. Smaller floor panels have also been launched to ensure more panels can be created, further limiting waste.
Reducing CO2 for a greener tomorrow: To minimize the carbon dioxide generated by transport and manufacturing, the majority of Bjelin’s factories are built near local, FSC-certified forests. By optimizing the use of raw materials, wood usage is minimized for manufacturing, allowing a larger portion to remain in the forest. Energy efficiency: Sawdust and other wood waste from the mills are used for the large-scale production of wood pellets for bioenergy, the energy predominantly used to dry the timber. A significant part of the electricity consumed is also from installed solar panels on the factory roofs.
