artureon WOOD is the first flooring ever to combine a real wood surface with the functionality of a 100% waterproof floor that is also 100% recyclable. Its completely wood-based core contains 30% recycled wood and is free of PVC and phthalates.
The Characteristics
Our artureon core is made from wood sourced from sustainably managed Swiss forests. We use 30% recycled wood to create a product that is not only beautiful to look at, but also respects and protects nature.
Our innovative technology coats all wood particles with high-quality resin. This makes them waterproof and suitable for use in all interior spaces, guaranteeing many years of use.
The 0.6 mm veneer layer, sourced from Europe, makes optimal use of the wood – creating up to ten times more elegant floor space from the same amount of oak as classic parquet. This ensures that the valuable raw material is used with particular care.
artureon products are fully recyclable and designed according to the cradle-to-cradle principle. This means that new wood-based materials can be created during recycling. Recycling can be ensured through the existing global network of chip processors. The product design has been chosen so that no components need to be separated before recycling (such as glued-on impact sound insulation or similar).
Artureon Wood products are PEFC certified.
Thanks to the use of natural raw materials and the absence of PVC and phthalates, artureon can be used safely in any room and is particularly child- and pet-friendly. The product complies with product standards A+, AgBB, CARB, TSCA, CDPH, CAM, and LEED.
Swiss legislation guarantees compliance with all factors. Our company is ISO 9001 certified.
The production processes at SWISS KRONO are specifically geared towards sustainability. Thanks to the use of renewable energies, optimized processes, regional supply chains, and the active CO2 binding of the wood used, our artureon products can be described as CO2-neutral.
The proportion of recycled wood currently stands at 30%. A major investment in new facilities is intended to increase this to 60% in the long term.
We work closely with waste disposal centers to ensure that old products are taken back for reuse.
Our environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001, which we use to continuously optimize our resource consumption.
