Mood Spaces @ DOMOTEX 2023
With the Mood Spaces, 5 renowned international designers provide an insight into their designed room scenarios, which include current living trends and inspiration.
Official Sponsor of the Mood Space
CAPAROL ICONS adds a pop of colour: as an official partner, the company provides our interior designers with sustainable premium paint for their Mood Spaces.
The DOMOTEX keynote theme "FLOORED BY NATURE" is taken up and brought into focus, expressing the interplay between floor and wall on the one hand and carpet, decorative fabrics and furniture on the other.
These installations serve, among other things, as inspiration for the specialist trade and, in the sense of "concept store" formats, show which products in combination can represent a theme world.
The Mood Spaces are located together with the Carpet Design Award Forum in the "Rugs area" in Hall 2.

Holly Becker is an interior designer, journalist, book author and social media expert. An American living in Germany since 2009, she is a true pioneer in the design industry - she started blogging before social media even existed, as one of the first design bloggers in the United States back in 2005.
Becker has won multiple awards for her work as a journalist and author, including the Readers Choice award from Myself magazine in 2010. She has four interiors books under the "Decorate" series published in nearly 20 languages worldwide. Her debut book shared homes that she styled from all over the world from top designers such as Jonathan Adler, Vincente Wolf and Tine Kjeldsen. Decorate was one of the first design books published in America by a blogger and the first-ever published in Germany. Today, it has sold over 400,000 copies.
Becker later became the first "influencer" in Germany to launch her own home décor collection with DEPOT and later, the first again to launch a home magazine, HOLLY, with Gruner & Jahr along with a podcast, HELLO HOLLY. She also designs fair stands and is currently working on her next home collections for several brands in Europe and is writing her 5th interior design book.
Holly Becker also gives lectures and workshops about design, social media, and design trends, all over the United States, UK and Europe at some of the most prestigious design events in the world, including imm Cologne.
Studio Besau-Marguerre is an interdisciplinary design studio based in the heart of Hamburg. With a holistic design approach, Studio Besau-Marguerre works across the fields of product design, visual communication, styling and interior design. Founded in 2011 by Marcel Besau and Eva Marguerre, the duo now works with a team of interior designers, textile designers, graphic designers and product designers, on exciting projects from exhibition and product design to larger scale projects such as the furnishing of Hamburg’s concert hall, the Elbphilharmonie.
With a keen sense for bold colours, experimental forms and unusual materials as well as a passion and attention to detail, Studio Besau-Marguerre designs individual concepts, that, due to the versatile expertise of the team, allow for holistic brand consulting and an integrated concept realization from a single source.
Starting point of the creative work of every project is always the product itself. Here, the space as well as the project’s overriding perception is being thought of from the start. The production of prototypes by hand as well as the use of digital design tools are equally part of the studio’s work. Honored with the Interior Innovation Award 2015, the Karl-Schneider-Preis 2016, the AIT Insider Award 2017andthe Iconic Award 2018, Studio Besau-Marguerre’s portfolio of clients comprises renowned brands such as Vitra, Artek, Thonet, e15and Fürstenberg. Eva Marguerre and Marcel Besau have been appointed as Blickfang curators for the season 2018/19.
