It was in the early 20th Century in the historic city of Kabul that the illustrious father of the present owner/CEO Mr. Haji Aman who, in keeping the age-old tradition of nomadic trade, started his carpet business. After the civil wars, the founder, determined to seek better prospects for his family business, moved the business to Peshawar, and started a thriving carpet business named Khalaj Amani Carpet (KAC). The owner also encouraged his sons to learn the art of trading and selling their carpets. They excelled in production, marketing, and distribution of their brand worldwide. KAC manufactures different types of Afghan traditional rugs and carpets, such as Khal Mohammadi, Kazakh, Chobi, Kilims, Maimana Kilim, Somak Kilims, and more. Each handmade carpet uses both modern and traditional methods of hand knotting to express its own story and create beautiful, long-lasting masterpieces.
