The same Type of Wood can seem so different
With the new Legno Smart Oil from ADLER, it should now be even easier to design wood in the most beautiful shades and to develop and implement harmonious color concepts.

Whether as a small table, cabinet front, parquet flooring, window frame, or wall paneling, sustainable wood always looks good. Spruce, oak, walnut, and other woods bring variety to the home, and Austria's leading paint manufacturer ADLER now wants to expand the design and combination possibilities almost infinitely with its wide range of coatings. ADLER now wants to reach the pinnacle of surface diversity with its new Legno Smart Oil: Fortuna, Kronos, Artemis, and others are designed to provide robust, resistant surfaces in the most beautiful colors even more quickly and easily.
Inspiration Times three
To demonstrate how different wooden elements in coordinated colors can be combined to create an elegant interior design, ADLER has put together three new inspiration boards: The “Crimson Flame” collage makes a strong statement and shows how different the same type of wood can look: a round oak tabletop was given an intense, dark brown look with Legno Smart Oil in the color “Artemis” – and that's not all. With just one coat, the new 2K high-solid oil guarantees long-lasting, high-quality protection. This makes it ideal for parquet flooring – here, the colorless version was used to enhance the natural beauty of the oak. The trio is completed by an oak element that has been refined with Arova Flex stain in the dark gray shade Gneis and finished with Bluefin Unistar G10 matt water-based varnish. A surface with a rough concrete look (ADLER Betoneffekt Daiquiri and Bluefin Top Antiscratch G10) is particularly well suited as a modern accent. Suitable additions include not only the wine-red background in the shade “Mein Herz” from the ADLER 1200 fan deck, but also a strong black (Alpendohle) and fresh green (Latsche) from the ADLER Alpine Selection. The sparkling effects of ADLER's Brilliant Metallic collection are ideal for details and accessories.
"Götterdämmerung"
The collage “Arctic Dawn,” on the other hand, presents itself in a bright, Nordic style. The ‘Fortuna’ shade of Legno Smart oil gives the oak kitchen fronts a cool, understated look. In contrast, walnut wood is emphasized even more richly and evenly with Arova Classic stain in the shade “Dark Walnut.” This is again accompanied by a concrete element – this time, however, with Bluefin Pure-Concrete in the sprayable, water-based version. According to ADLER, “Hüttenzauber” and “Bergsee” from the Alpine Selection are intended to provide heavenly splashes of color.
On the right track
The popular trendy woods walnut and oak are also the ingredients for “Rustic Trail”: the oak parquet, oiled with colorless Legno Smart oil (and therefore also slip-resistant), goes perfectly with walnut, which is protected by Bluefin Softmatt water-based varnish, but still looks untreated. A deep black window invites you to enjoy the view of nature: spruce was treated with ADLER's Aquawood Diamond window coating system to give it ultimate durability, according to the Austrian company. The soft colors “mistletoe” and “motherwort” harmoniously round off the natural outdoor character.
