Biehrer, better known to many under the brand name BIMBO, has spent the past six decades turning native and exotic timber from managed plantations into top-quality flooring. During that time, the traditional family-run business has evolved into one of the world's leading providers of exclusive multi-layer wood flooring. Based on the edge of Germany's Black Forest, Biehrer combines long-established craftsmanship with its own state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and still produces every single board individually by hand. All this gives rise to an authentic aesthetic effect that reflects the wood’s natural growth, elegance and unique character and gracefully gives it a new form.

Demonstrating these very qualities at DOMOTEX 2020, Biehrer highlighted its credentials as a specialist in parquet flooring and bespoke boards that are primarily renowned for their distinctive shapes and sizes. Among the company's star exhibits in Hannover were boards made from European cherry wood in formats measuring up to 6.3 meters in length and up to 40 centimeters in width. This is proof that Biehrer is responding to the ever-growing demand for extra-wide boards that run the length of the room. Indeed, if the type of wood allows, Biehrer offers multi-layer boards in lengths of up to nine meters and widths of up to around 50 centimeters in various thicknesses with a top layer up to ten millimeters thick. For solid wood variants, the company even offers lengths of up to 15 meters.
