In view of the pressing challenges posed by climate change and resource scarcity, Gerflor Mipolam GmbH considers it its duty to reduce the environmental impact of its products. Premium ZERO is a latest-generation floor covering with a particularly low carbon footprint, as it consists of only three percent fossil raw materials. Thanks to an innovative and forward-looking formula, Premium ZERO offers a unique solution for construction projects with particularly high requirements in terms of climate protection and material responsibility, according to the supplier.

Reduced Dependence on Fossil Raw Materials

By using ingredients made from soybean residues—a by-product of animal feed—waste is transformed into a valuable resource. This reduces dependence on fossil raw materials. The vinyl wear layer, which is pressed to a density of more than 800 tons, is made from renewable sources such as used cooking oils. This reduces the proportion of fossil raw materials while maintaining the quality and performance of the product. The traceability of the renewable raw materials is guaranteed by ISCC Plus certification based on the mass balance principle.

Design meets Functionality

In addition to its environmental compatibility, Premium Zero impresses with its modern and versatile design. The numerous decors and surface textures can be flexibly integrated into different room concepts—whether in living spaces, offices, or commercial facilities. The matt surface texture ensures a pleasant feel, while the durable layer is resistant to scratches and wear. This makes the flooring a long-lasting solution even in high-traffic areas.

Patented Surface Treatment

All products in the Premium ZERO collection also feature Evercare, Gerflor's patented surface treatment. It replaces initial treatment or coating for the entire life of the product, making maintenance particularly easy and economical. According to Gerflor, Evercare reduces cleaning costs by up to 30 percent.
