Merinos, which started out as a family business in 1970 with just two carpet looms, has risen to become the world market leader in the field of machine-made carpets in the 50 years or so since its foundation. Today, Merinos is a modern industrial enterprise that ranks among the 500 largest companies in Turkey. In addition to carpets, Merinos now also produces home textiles, but above all, it manufactures its own yarns, which has given the company's expansion a further boost. Today, the company exports to 78 countries on five continents, and in Germany it even has its own sales organisation, Medipa Handels GmbH, which has been selling Merinos brand products from Troisdorf via wholesale, retail and online trade in more than 20 European countries since 2006.

In view of such dimensions, it is only too understandable that both Sehitkamil and Troisdorf welcome the return of DOMOTEX as the world's leading carpet trade fair in Hannover. For Caglar Kepekci, General Manager of Merinos, participation in the upcoming event is therefore also a matter of course: "We will definitely be taking part in DOMOTEX in January 2023. It is the largest industry gathering with an international character and an absolute must for us. DOMOTEX is the ideal platform for meeting existing trade partners, interested parties and colleagues from the industry, as well as efficiently presenting our new products to a broad audience in a short space of time."
