"I travel to Hannover for DOMOTEX so that I can re-connect with my fellow rug colleagues from around the world, to hear global thoughts on the state of the industry, and of course to see all that is new not only in handmade rugs and carpets but the rapidly advancing technology of machine-made rugs as well. My expectations for DOMOTEX remain the same each year, in that I come to see how, in a world made ever smaller by immediate access to information - text based or visual - the unexpected juxtapositions of cultures and their unique aesthetics can still surprise and delight."
