DOMOTEX 2019, 11 - 14 January
Yellow-white, strongly figured wood, occurring occasionally in Hungary. The sapwood cannot be separated from the heartwood. Its characteristic is brownish false heartwood - the brown heart -, which does not follow the outline of the annual rings. The basic colour strongly depends on growing location of the tree: Trees grown in flat land next to rivers provide wood with light colour and white shade while dry environment in the mountains provide a little darker wood with brownish shade. These two varieties cannot be fully separated from each other in the finished product due to the transition between them.
