The "Heart" represents the key motive of our "God is abstract" theme. Several leitmotifs associated with human existence form a landscape modelled by a reduction of shapes. Literally at the rug's centre, the figure of a heart that epitomises man's hunger for love, is in itself a geometric aggregation of a vast number of triangles and polygons that can be likened to a faceted crystal when viewed up close. Positioned in the upper third of the rug, the heart as a whole becomes one with the faintly indicated landscape pattern it is surrounded by but can yet be perceived as the rising sun topping an Alpine peak at the same time.
