Company profile

Established in 1903, Zollanvari is a family-owned Iranian handmade carpet producer. Our creations embody the spirit of Persian carpet design. Our empathy with the essence of the Persian weaving aesthetic informs our production, making it unique and timeless - qualities that have established our name as a global trail-blazer in creating carpet art. We work with an extensive network of excellent nomadic weavers with whom we have cultivated and nurtured personal relationships that have resulted in a resourceful and ever-developing carpet production. Our carpets are hand-knotted using hand-carded & hand-spun wool, dyed with natural vegetable dyes. Zollanvari is the only Iranian handmade carpet producer to hold an OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certificate for 'handwoven carpets (rugs, gabbehs, kelims, & jajims) made from hand-spun sheep wool and traditionally dyed with herbal natural dyes'. The sixth generation of Zollanvaris is active in Hamburg, Cape Town, Wuhan (Hubei), China and Secaucus, USA.

A Gabbeh is a hand-woven pile rug characterised by an abstract design that relies upon open fields of colour and playful geometry. Flatweaves: Tribal & Minimalist

Zollanvari 'minimalist' kelims are diverse and thoroughly contemporary. Caprino is our latest flatweave collection woven using undyed goat's hair on which pile-knotted erratic modernist lines in bright colours are superimposed. The one-piece Zagros kelims woven by the Luri and Ghashgha'i nomads of southern more

Transitional Tribal: Zollanvari introduced Baluch Soumaks to the market for the first time in collaboration with Baluch nomads from eastern Iran. These weavings combine kelim, soumak and pile weaving techniques to create a jewel-like surface that gives the rugs depth and a three-dimensional appearance. more

'Kundan', a Sanskrit word, signifies 'gold purified to the highest degree' & evokes an image of an object in its purest form that shimmers like gold. The Zollanvari Kundan Collection embodies the harmonious relationship between nature & interiors drawing inspiration from the four elements. The rugs are more
