Making life safer for skilled tradesmen
Some 170 firms specializing in floor-laying techniques and floor care systems presented their latest innovations at DOMOTEX 2012, while as many as 21 per cent of the visitors were from the floor-laying trades. Once again, one of the highlights this year was the popular special display "Initiative for Safer Working Practices".
Experts used practical examples to show what tradesmen need to look out for when working with floor coverings. That included health tips such as "Don't kneel, and look after your back" as well as a hearing test with advice on how to protect one's ears in the noisy workplace. Smells and harmful emissions were also covered in a program that was both informative and entertaining.
