Here we present innovations and highlights of our exhibitors.
Olde Wood Limited reclaims materials such as beams from old farmhouses and antique hand-carved roof beams to create new parquet flooring. With a broad display of products ranging from antique oak through to exotic wood, the company wants to show visitors to DOMOTEX 2012 how wood with a past can lend their homes a real old-world charm.

This is the name of the latest development to be showcased by T&G Wood at DOMOTEX 2012. The surface of the wood really is burnt to create special oak flooring. This gives rise to deep black colors with a splendid range of natural color variations. It takes several rounds of surface treatment to create this effect – and no two floors are the same.

RE-Y-STONE® eco signature floor is the name of a new product to be displayed at DOMOTEX 2012 by Witex Flooring Products GmbH in cooperation with Resopal GmbH. This solution boasts an ecological bio-composite surface from Resopal combined with a PEFC-certified HDF panel that gives rise to an ecological, sustainable floor covering.

Now, two insulating components can be laid under parquet and laminate floors in a single step. This is possible thanks to the newly developed solution on display at the stand of dBCOVER SOLUTIONS at DOMOTEX 2012. It comprises a new type of latex foam for sound insulation that is laminated on the underside with a plastic film to ensure protection against damp. With a film overlap of five centimeters, this new insulation system ensures the seamless union of adjacent insulating boards.

This is the aim of the hand-sanded walnut laminate that is one of the highlights of Power Dekor Europe at DOMOTEX 2012. Hand-crafted details, such as small, irregular indentations, are designed to give the floor a unique, antique appearance. Two different board sizes – 190 mm and 107 mm wide – can be mixed to reinforce the impression of real wood.

With its Bliss Art series, Kronotex is bringing extra-special laminate flooring to DOMOTEX 2012. The series features aluminum inlays, which lend this flooring its unique character and elegance. Available in a range of different wood effects and in high gloss and matt finishes, the unusual mix of materials in these laminates can be used to create a wide variety of striking styles.

Co-Design is offering visitors to DOMOTEX 2012 an opportunity to create a truly exclusive atmosphere with their new range of leather flooring. The flooring is made using only the hide of cattle living freely in Scandinavia. The 4.5mm-thick leather is available in four standard colors and three standard sizes.

With its new Cork FLOORING collection on show at DOMOTEX 2012, Kaindl is aiming to bring cork out of obscurity and revitalize it as a flooring material. Rather than the familiar large-scale sheets or tiles, the company is now offering digitally-colored cork flooring in board format. The initial collection features seven narrow-format designs and seven in the wide maxi format.

The Carpet Design Awards are among the most coveted international awards for hand-made carpets. They will be presented on 15 January 2012 as part of DOMOTEX 2012. Prizes will be given to carpets in eleven categories including design, material quality, product design and innovation. The winning carpets will be on display at DOMOTEX from 14 to 17 January 2012.

Power Dekor Europe will be showcasing a very special exhibit at DOMOTEX this year - bamboo solid flooring. This floor covering is the perfect solution for anyone wanting to feel something exotic under their feet. As well as offering a distinctive look and feel, bamboo is also one of the most eco-friendly floor coverings available and is also extremely hard, durable, resilient and resistant to wear and damage.

Anyone interested in finding out how stylish wooden flooring with brushed surfaces is produced can see for themselves at DOMOTEX 2012 by attending a live demonstration of the RUSTIKA 300/600 universal brushing machine. Developed specifically for floorboards and parquet surfaces, this machine series can handle working widths of 300 or 600 mm and is equipped with two brushing stations. It also offers a large number of optional features and can be connected to four, six or more brushing stations.

rs Office promises a revolution in the world of floor mats with the launch of its new adhesive mats with thermally-bonded anti-slip coating. What sets this solution apart is that the coating holds the Makrolon mat reliably in place on all hard floor coverings without sticking.

Under the slogan "More flexibility, less solvent", Berger-Seidle Siegeltechnik GmbH will be displaying numerous environmentally friendly product innovations at DOMOTEX this year. One special highlight is its Classic® BaseOil protection and care product that is free of volatile organic compounds (VOC).

The new laying system to be showcased by Super-Click International at DOMOTEX 2012 is designed so that almost all floor coverings can be laid quickly and easily. Regardless of whether you want to lay ceramic tiles, laminate, parquet or carpets, the Click system ensures you can do so in next to no time.

Classen will be unveiling two innovations at DOMOTEX 2012 to demonstrate that laminate flooring can meet the toughest demands without comprising on style. Seals and other water lovers will be blown away by the waterproof “nautic” floor covering, whose electron-beam hardened surface is applied to a PVC substrate.
The new LVT structure collection combines a robust design with a stylish look. These high-strength designer floor coverings could even take the weight of an elephant, but they are actually designed for areas subject to high loads in industrial buildings.
