DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR registers double-digit increase in attendance

Registering growth on all fronts - the number of exhibitors, visitor attendance and the amount of display space sold - DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2010 (23 to 25 March) consolidated its position as Asia's leading floor coverings exhibition. Right from the start of the very first day, we were virtually inundated with visitors, declared Andreas Gruchow, Managing Board Member at Deutsche Messe, adding that visitors at the event were distributed evenly among all DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR halls. Gruchow noted that not only the quantity of visitors was up 10% year on year, for a total of 40,000, but that there had also been a marked increase in quality. Some 1,000 exhibitors were represented on over 97,000 square meters (more than 1 million square feet) of display space at the event, showcasing their carpets, textile and resilient floor coverings, laminate and parquet flooring, laying skills and cleaning and maintenance technologies, plus floor covering manufacturing and processing machines and tools. DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR provided exhibitors from across the globe with access to China's rapidly growing middle class, which is well on its way to becoming the world's biggest consumer of floor coverings.
